The Friends of the PBC Foundation, NFP fosters comprehensive advancements in research, education, and support to improve health outcomes and quality of life for those affected by Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). We aim to unite U.S. PBC patients, families, healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates in a collective effort to enhance treatment options, management strategies, and overall awareness within the PBC community.

Public Relations and Social Media Developer

Qualifications
Design, redesign and or update social media sites as needed
Bachelors Degree
 
Responsibilities
The PR and Social Media Content Developer will assist with this goal by creating an online presence and keeping up to date and relevant information connected to the Friends of the PBC Foundation’s social media websites.
This position is also responsible for innovation and expansion of job scope and responsibilities as the foundation and position grow!
 
Research “Primary Biliary Cholangitis” and other blogs with relevant content as well as any other applicable online content and post them on the foundations social media websites (i.e
Remain up to date with current social media trends
Create the foundations banner ads for Google, 7-8 campaigns and sponsored links
Respond to requests for information; act as online spokesman or information source
Collaborate with others in the organization to identify key trends and key group interests or concerns to provide effective communications to the public and to employees
Attend professional meetings, training workshops, and read publications on the field to enhance professional competence

Resource Development Director

 

Position: Resource Development Director
 
Reports to: Board of Directors
 
Location: remote
 
Work Schedule: 8 am- 5 pm Monday – Friday; must be available to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, as needed Travel Required: Local travel in the service area; some travel to State and Regional meeting
 
Salary Range: Volunteer/Potential Stipend 
 
Position Overview
 
The Resource Development Director is responsible for developing and executing:
1) Annual “Giving Tuesday” campaign
2) individual donor engagement. The position will identify, cultivate, retain, and develop donor prospects in and out of the workplace. He/she will establish and strengthen relationships with donors, employers, and the community as a whole to build donor loyalty, raise/leverage resources, and ensure a positive brand experience with Friends of the PBC Foundation. 
 
He/she is accountable for the effective and efficient management of a portfolio of accounts generating annual contributions to meet or exceed organizational revenue goals.

Community engagement and event lead -Remote
 
• Encourages community-wide participation in US PBC Patient conference September 19-September 21, 2025,  upcoming events, AASLD Walk in Washington D.C.
• Sends press releases and contact media about all PBC events; assists the BOARD OF DIRECTORS in the use of social media for the advertisement of FOPBC events; maintains positive relations and updates contact files for local media. 
 
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Business, Public Administration, Education or a related field.
 
Required Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in non-profit fundraising. Experience with grant writing preferred. Technical Skills: Ability to successfully use Microsoft Office Suite and other technology to manage data and compose reports. Ability to successfully utilize social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
