Tequoia Urbina is the communications manager for Friends of the PBC Foundation. She holds an M.S. in communications from Northeastern University. Urbina is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker based in Atlanta, GA., with over 25 years of experience in TV and film.
She is the co-owner of the writing collective, Nine Armadillos, a member of Women in Film and Television Atlanta (WIFTA), Femme Fatales, Women of Color Unite (WOCU), Alliance of Women Directors (AWD), Film Impact GA, and founder/President of Vila da Magnolia, an artist-focused nonprofit organization.
In addition to her film affiliations, she is an adjunct professor of communications at the GA. Military College and a consultant for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She has dedicated her life to telling stories and shaping narratives to impact the community and the world.
